The old farm out-buildings have just been cleared from the adjacent land to ours. We still have one shed like building on our land though. These are taken down the side of that building in the setting sun.

We've found slugs and bugs fascinating for a long time. (This is Sher in Washington on our road trip in '97.) We've also stuck with the notion that 'Pets are People too'.

The only way to get this hermit crab to emerge and pose for pictures was to turn his shell door-side up. He would come out rather quickly to flip his house back over. I am happy with my camera's performance for these photos, but he was also the largest hermit crab that I have seen. Granted, my exposure to hermit crabs is not extensive, but he was impressive.
